The Wholesale application
How do I get in touch?
info@boardwalkcoffee.ie for general questions, sales@boardwalkcoffee.ie for wholesale, or +353 (0)24 93358 by phone. You'll also find us at our Youghal and Killarney cafes.
What if something's wrong with my order?
Email info@boardwalkcoffee.ie within 7 days of delivery if anything arrives damaged or faulty and we'll sort a replacement or refund. Because coffee is a perishable product, we can't accept returns for change of mind, but we stand behind everything we roast.
Can I get coffee delivered every month?
Yes, you can subscribe for monthly deliveries of freshly roasted single-origin coffee. See our Subscriptions page for plans and pricing.
Do you supply cafes and restaurants?
Yes, see our Wholesale page for partnership details, minimum orders, and training support.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Our bags are CO2-neutral and mono-material, certified under DIN EN 13430, which makes them easier to recycle than mixed-material bags. Every bag has a one-way valve to keep the coffee fresh in transit.
Where does your coffee come from?
Farms and cooperatives worldwide, currently including Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil, Rwanda, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. Every bag lists the farm or washing station, elevation, and processing method.
What's the difference between your coffee and supermarket coffee?
We roast single-origin, specialty-grade beans, mostly scoring 84 and above, in small batches, and ship close to the roast date. Supermarket coffee is usually blended for consistency and can sit for months before it reaches the shelf.
Do you offer decaf?
Yes, our Colombia, Antioquia decaf sits alongside the single-origin range, cupped and roasted to the same standard as everything else we sell.
How should I store my coffee?
In an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. For the best cup, buy what you'll drink within four to six weeks of the roast date.
When was my coffee roasted?
Every bag carries its actual roast date, not just a best-before. We roast to order in small batches in Youghal, so what you get is freshly roasted, not warehouse stock.
I can't see my country at checkout. What do I do?
Email info@boardwalkcoffee.ie and we'll let you know what's possible for your location.
Can I get my coffee ground?
Yes. Choose whole bean or select a grind for French press, espresso, moka pot, or filter at checkout. If you're not brewing within a week or two, go with whole bean to preserve freshness.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Ireland: 1–3 working days via An Post tracked delivery. UK and EU: 4–5 working days. We roast in small batches, so allow a bit of extra time during busy periods.
What countries do you ship to?
Ireland, the UK, and the EU as standard. UAE customers order through the "Buy in UAE" option on each product page for local pricing. Delivery in Ireland is free over €50; UK and EU orders ship free over €60.
Do you offer corporate or office subscriptions?
Yes, with larger volumes (1–5kg), equipment rental, and on-site training available. Enquire at sales@boardwalkcoffee.ie for a tailored quote.
Can I gift a subscription to someone in another country?
Yes, to Ireland, the UK, and the EU. Enter the recipient's address at checkout and add a gift note if you'd like one.
What's the freshness guarantee?
If your first bag doesn't meet your expectations, email info@boardwalkcoffee.ie within 14 days for a full refund or replacement, no questions asked.
This applies to first-time subscribers on their first shipment.
Can I choose my own origin?
The subscription is curated. We pick the best origin each month based on seasonality and cupping scores. If you'd rather choose, shop the store directly with your subscriber discount code.
Is the coffee the same every month?
No, we rotate origins seasonally to keep it interesting. One month might be a Yirgacheffe natural, the next a Sidama washed. Every box comes with origin notes and a brewing guide. Loved a past origin? Reorder it from the store at your subscriber discount.
Do you ship subscriptions outside Ireland?
Yes, to the UK and the EU, with rates shown at checkout. Delivery in Ireland is free over €50; UK and EU orders ship free over €60. UAE customers should use the "Buy in UAE" option at checkout for local pricing.
When am I charged, and can I cancel anytime?
Your card is charged when that month's box ships. There's no minimum term. Cancel anytime from your account before the next shipping date.
What if I'm going away?
Pause your subscription from your account dashboard in about 30 seconds, or skip a single month if that's all you need.
Can I switch between espresso and filter?
Yes. Change your plan from your account before the next shipping date. No penalty, no hassle.
When will my first box arrive?
We ship on or just after the 1st of each month. If you sign up after the 1st, your first box goes out with the next batch.
For example, sign up on 3rd September and your first box ships 1st October. Ireland delivery is 1–3 working days, UK and EU is 4–5 working days.
What if I'm outside Ireland, the UK, the EU, or the UAE?
Get in touch anyway. We're focused on those markets right now but do consider export enquiries elsewhere. Email sales@boardwalkcoffee.ie and we'll tell you what's possible.
What currencies do you invoice in?
EUR for Ireland and EU accounts, GBP for UK accounts, and AED for UAE accounts. Pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees.
Can you do private-label or white-label roasting?
Yes. You bring the brand guidelines, we handle the coffee, packaging, and compliance documentation.
How do you ensure consistency batch to batch?
Every batch is profiled, logged, and checked against a cupping table before it ships. If a profile drifts, we catch it before it reaches you.
What countries do you supply?
We currently supply wholesale accounts in Ireland, the UK, the EU, and the UAE. We roast in Youghal and ship via tracked delivery.
UAE accounts are coordinated through our Dubai office for faster local delivery and on-site support.
What is your minimum order?
There's no rigid minimum, but we recommend starting with 5–10kg per origin so you have enough to dial in your recipe and serve consistently. Larger multi-site accounts get volume pricing and scheduled deliveries.
Do you send samples before I commit to anything?
Yes. Every enquiry starts with a curated sample pack, roasted for your brew method. Tell us your setup and volume when you apply and we'll confirm sample arrangements as part of your proposal.
Do you offer equipment?
Not today but we can recommend equipment companies.
Do you provide training?
Every wholesale partner gets access to our barista training, covering espresso fundamentals, milk texturing, filter brewing, and grinder calibration. Larger accounts can arrange on-site training in Ireland or the UAE, and we can organise SCA-certified courses for your team.
What is geographic exclusivity?
For select partners, we agree not to supply the same origin to a competing venue within an agreed radius, so your menu stays differentiated. It's discussed case by case and depends on volume and commitment.
